Theesfeld was detained days after Kostial’s body was discovered in Harmontown, Mississippi, which is several miles from the Oxford campus.

Theesfeld was suspended from Ole Miss after his arrest.

A motive has not been released, and Theesfeld’s lawyers said he will get in an innocent plea.

At a bond hearing recently, Theesfeld’s defense lawyers withdrew their ask for bond and asked for that Theesfeld undergo a mental examination at a state hospital.
